I bought a 83 project blazer, which someone swapped in a cross fire fuel injected 175 H.P. 305 out of a 83 camero. It runs good except for it's a little rich when it's cold. It has two small TBI's mounted on the intake, and I like the idea of staying with the fuel injection. The questions is, can you modify the controls( computer and injectors) on this type of fuel injection to handle bigger cubes? I thinking about swapping in warmed up 350. I only paid $700 for the whole blazer, worst case I figured I could sell the 305 to someone doing a S10 swap to finance putting in a carbureted 350. Thanks in advance.

There were a few places that sold some hop-up parts for the CrossFire injection. It's kind of a ba$tard step-child since they soon went to Tuned Port Injection instead. I think that perhaps the guys at TPIS http://www.tpis.com used to sell a few things for that system. If not, they can probably point you in the right direction.

One of the nicknames for this system is "miss fire injection" It was only used for a few years due to problems. I dont think I have ever heard any positive things about these systems. I think I remember reading something at http://www.turbocity.com about crossfire computer upgrades or somehting

There was a guy on a site I found off Off-Road that was into modifying/upgrading the Crossfire injection............and believed it to be a kick tail system IF done right. I looked at my computer favorites (where I used to have the site url) but couldn't find it. Do a search on all the main search engines (metacrawler/infoseek, etc.) for "Cross Fire Fuel Injection" and you might get lucky and find this guy. He was selling kits for about $500 to seriously upgrade them.
