FYI: I just found out that the former Fort Dix in NJ has lots of old tank trails, vehicle trails, and other fun stuff to wheel on. I'm trying to get confirmation of this to ensure it's legal. If you're interested, we can maybe get a group together and run some trails!

Also, if any of you have any info about Paragon, post it here. Their web address (www.paragonap.com) is finally up, but it's under construction and no info is available.

Count me in as soon I get the 3/4 ton stuff done. Has anyone been to Wharton State Forest? As for Paragon, most of the guys in the club I'm in went out there two weeks ago and they had a blast. I would have been at the trailhead replacing axle parts so I didnt go. The current Fourwheeler has a good article on it, plus theres tons of picutures on various sites. Anyone else know of any other trails

ive been through some of wharton in a 2wd 90 f150 work truck (it was the only thing i had) i couldnt tell you where i was , i just know i was going down the road and i saw 3 quads come zippin out of the woods and then go down this dirt/sand road. I said, "hell! i can fit down that! " so i followed. There was a lot of jumps, a few intimidating sand hillclimbs, a creek crossing, and some rockier areas too. it was really cool, but i stayed on the main strip (on account of the 2wd)and just jumped the ford some. i had a blast, and i plan on someday soon heading back over there and getting lost in the barrens again.

Waiting on another email from a lady from NJ Dept of Environmental Protection. I'm not sure if she understood my first round of questions. Basically she said if it's registered and insured it's legal, but she didn't address the Ft Dix area at all. I asked her to clarify for me.

No, I haven't heard back from NJDEP yet. I think Michele forgot about me; I'll have to email her again.

As for the Eclipse: Nah, I don't think so...

You know, it sounds tempting to play with it like it's a rally car, But I just sent this month's payment in for it and that knocked that crazy-a$$ idea out of my head. Plus (more importantly), my wife would murder me.

Kinda makes the choice clear, doesn't it??!

p.s., may be you could send me michelle's email, so more than one person could bother her. it would be harder for her to forget that way.

Got my response from Michele at NJDEP. She misunderstood me the first time around. She did some investigating, and NJDEP has nothing on Ft.Dix. I'm gonna have to make a journey there to ask someone. Who I'm gonna ask, I don't know... I'll figure something out though.

Theres some really nice rock trails up here by the NY border. I've been trying to find someone to go with, but everyone I know with K5s either doesnt feel they are set up right, or doesnt want any body damage. I did it back when I had stock 3.07 open 1/2 ton stuff and 33" BFG ATs, but it wasnt pretty. Anyone up?
