    looking for info on the eaton rear ends. eo72 specifically. nayone know a sit on these? just general questions

    what size are the u bolts? can i flip them where they point up?

    what are the little 1/2 blocks for under the spring pack?

    I think the block under the spring pack is just the mounting plate for the u-bolts.

    Measure the axle tube across to find it's diameter, that will give you the u-bolt size.

    Yes they can be flipped to point up, you will need to get or fab new plates for the top of the springs.

    Be prepared to weld up the tubes, as the lower mount holds salt and crap which corrodes the axle tube. You will want a solid level mounting surface for the u-bolts to rest on....

    i dont think it is. its on the bottom of the spring pack and on top of the perch like a zerorate would be. i will try to get a pic up.

    I had the same block it's about an inch tall. Came on the 3/4 ton trucks. Have a pic in the link in my sig.
