ok , about to get my 83 k5 going with the monster 1969 one ton rear axle. man the drums on this thing are HUGE , 3 inch brake pads , 7 inches from the back of the drum to the start of the wheels studs. anyways when i pulled the drums ( 50 pounds each ) i found the brakes are missing the emergency brake lever and transfer bar. does some one with a 14 bolt one ton axle have any of the parts loose to take some measurements ?

new wheel cylinders were $60 each /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

    thanks in advance

Would probably be cheaper to go disc than to fix the drum brakes.

you can use parts from a 3/4 ton dana 44 axle, 1/2 ton 44 front calipers work
