Echo Tips make improvement?

    do they make it alot louder? my bud's got true dual flow 40's, but plain pipes out back...tomorrow he's gettin 3.5" echo tips, and im just wonderin does it make a big diff?

    louder is better, haha. Yeah, they actually do make a little louder and deeper, kinda like a megaphone. On a four or six clyinder on the other hand, its sounds like absolute crap.

    The legth of the echo tubes makes a difference too. They come in 6,12,18,and 24 inch versions. I run 18" echo tubes and it is pretty loud. But I am also runnin dual glass packs, so it would be loud regardless, lol.

    I'm not sure about louder, but they will definitely make it sound deeper!

    '85 K5 : Run it til it breaks, then fix it and go again!

    The length definatly makes a difference in the sound. I had a dually that had little short ones and I put longer ones, but the same size and it changed the sound. It was making a pop pop pop noise sorta like a diesel with glass packs, but when I got longer ones it smoothed out the sound some. I'd like to put some on my truck, but the way it's routed, I would only be able to put short ones on it and I don't want it to be abnoxious...I like it to sound smooth.
