I have spent a great deal of time and a not much money on my 83 blazer so far, well I have a friend "with cash from a tax return" who is very serious on wanting to buy it for more than double what I payed. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I have less than 2500.00 into it and I dont have any bond to it yet other than I think it looks good. He also has no idea what I payed for it...hehe /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

It is fully payed for and all it needs to have done is the floors need work but I am aquiring floors soon I hope. He is also very handy with a welder and builds/welds chopper frames at a local shop, so the floor is not an issue.

I dunno, would you make the cash, or say " I saved money when I got a good deal on it in the first place" so keep it.

the money would be welcome though, maby a good start on saving for my down payment on a home?

Or since I have a urge to make it a full top, sell it and buy what I really want, a 2wd first gen or another 73-75 4x4.

what would you do? I am leaning twards just keeping it for a few months and seeing how it treats me or if I still like it then, if not then sell it. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

the body is to nice to... /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif

I am so confused, wish I had a cute little ford fiesta...you cant really modify those /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

    j/k...ok, ban me now /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

Flog it off to your friend, then lock the money in at the bank so you'll be forced to save it for a DP on a house.

That would be the smart move, and I'm not implying I'd do the smart thing either.

If you like it and it will do what you want it to do there is nothing wrong with keeping it either, like you said...it's paid for.

I say sell it off and buy what you want. I have been getting a lot of rash form my buddies about cutting up my 86 but it's got a lot more into than your 83. So buying something in worse condition and starting over isn't my idea of fun. You said your not attached to it so sell it, make a little money on it, and buy something else. You've got another DD and your offraod truck so put the money into either one of those or a house like you mentioned. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

If I could sell my truck for double what I've put into it I would. Anyone want to buy a 1990 rusted out blazer for $40,000? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

it looks ok from a hundred feet or so..if you cant see the front of it /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif
    /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

it had to be towed..sheered some bolts and peeled the front left fender right of the truck, the hood is now a foot or so closser in and a foot higher /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

no I dont want to put any money into it, I think I will just replace the front and get rid of it, or sell it to the guy who wrecked it for what I have into it /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

hmmm....try knitting...less costly, no more friend incidents(you will probably lose them), you can change colors for a few cents. If you hit a rock or tree with a sweater, it is still good.

Dude, your just not "ready" for this stuff /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif. Friends fault or no friend how did he get behind the wheel? Sell both trucks and take a break for a few months.

Yeah well I never let people behind the wheel of my vehicles, even if they are junk, people like to mess around with other peoples vehicles, especially when they are "junk".
