Well since you were going up a hill with a carburated engine, it may tend to stall. If you are on flat land and slam on the gas and it stalls it could be due to a malfunctioning pump circut in the carb. The pump circut dumps fuel into the engine when the gas is slammed to the floor. /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

How long has it been since the fuel filter was replaced?

Sounds like a fuel filter problem but could just be since its carb. Get a big inline filter.
