OK, 225000 on the engine. It is a done deal. I need a new replacement engine.
    1989 TBI 5.7.
Suggestions as to source. GM crate engine, what are my choices? Of course I want more HP. I already have Edlebrock headers and Gibson exhaust.

If I had the money and the time http://www.paceparts.com/product.asp?0=239&1=241&3=56136
    with http://www.magnacharger.com/pr004.htm

If I was replacing a tbi motor and just wanted to replace it http://www.paceparts.com/product.asp?0=343&1=360&3=23285

This is what I just put in my truck I cant beat the 50k 3 year warrenty, http://www.paceparts.com/product.asp?0=343&1=360&3=3169
It runs great starts great and drives great, 260 hp and 350 ftlbs. That is rated with factory pullies and a fan, I figure electric fans and underdrive pullies gave me at least 10-15 more hp. My 3:08 geared truck with 35x12.50s will spin the tires now /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I would have never beleved it. Pace is great too, I have bough a lot of stuff from them. If you want wild try http://www.amerspeed.com/engine_prices.htm

Thanks, I forgot about Pace. I like the TBI replacement.
As far as the other big dollar engines go, if I had that much money, I would not have a truck with 225,000 miles on it.
That is a good price for the TBI.
    Thanks....... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
