Does anybody know the price range to hone 8 cylinders in a chevy small block? Each cylinder only needs to be honed from .007 - .005 . Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

This is a place near me that I have heard does good work. I am sure that CA prices will be higher than the rest of the nation

Their price is $48 or $98 with torque plate installed

shouldnt cost that much...you can always buy the hone and do it yourself with a drill...

I sure as hell am not doing it myself. A dial bore guage costs over $200 plus the dial bore guage mic is another few benjamins.

I bored the cylinders (via F-5) to 4.055, and I need them finished honed to 4.060. I also have to sleeve a couple cylinders because of the ring ridges are to large. I only got one more lab to do it in and no time to power hone.
