engine nubers ???????

    Ok i got a Blazer and this is the number on the back of the motor(where The motor meets the tranie) Ok it goes like this 3970010 also it says 32 GM what does this meen???? /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

    One source says that number says the block was for a 327, '68-'69 Corvette Camaro and other high performance applications.

    the other source says:
    3970010....302.....69....4...Z-28 Camaro
    3970010....327.....69....2...Trucks and industrial
    3970010....350...69-80...2 or 4

    The numbers off of the heads will be a better indicator of what you have.

    I gots the same one in my jimmy and a spare in the garage. Both are 4-bolt mains but I know they make that casting number with 2-bolt mains.
