I've had a loud pinging coming from the bottom of the K5. The pinging is really LOUD when the K5 is in Park or Neutral, but in drive or reverse it almost goes away. It's a 350 motor and a 700r4 tranny with 208 transfer case.Anybody have a clue? All oils are full and clean

New tranny? I know there is a problem with one of 700-R4 pump valves(?) that will cause some sort of noise, but its more a buzzing from what I've heard of it. Thats a way out idea, but that problem is only supposed to occurr in park and neutral as well. there is are-designed valve, but I guess you can still buy the one that made the noise, so if rebuilt, that could be a noise maker...does it sound like its coming from that area?

Probably something much simpler, or at least I hope!
