engine plug and temperature sender questiion?? *DELETED*

    The newer engines with computers and smog stuff had the sender mounted in/on the thermostat housing. The housing was cast to except the sending unit. They also had vacuum switches mounted on the housing that were temp activated. Also the sending unit could be mounted on the intake manifold.

    You can mount the sending unit on the heads between 6 and 8 or 1 and 3. The heads are the same on both sides. If you remove the left head and put it on the right side the unit would be between 6 and 8 and vise versa.If you put the sending unit on the oposite side it is on now the only issue you should have is wire length.

    I added an Autometer water temp gauge, and I have the sender installed in that hole in the passenger side head.

    i have the later engine cast thermo housing.so would this give me an acurate measure of temp to put the sending unit in there?
