engine replacement

    well, old engine out,new engine and tranny in, headers on, tbi on gm performance vortec manifold is on, and the front is going together. whew! what fun, you finally find those few bolts that need constant cursing while you squeeze your hands into those nooks and cranny's. only a few minor things to attend to,first off we had to weld a bung on the header for the egr supply, took some tweaking to clear the shift linkage, second replaced the throttle bracket after the donor took off to who knows where!, now to plumb a silica hose from the bung to the manifold and begin to recreate the bracketry for the air pump, conditioner and the alternator. a fun challenge and i'm getting x-cited about firing her up!

    I know what you mean. I was so happy when I got mine back on the road a couple weeks ago.
