Other than the other problems described under "Qjet question", today on the way to work, the engine started to buck slightly and felt like it was bogging down. I took the trans out of overdrive and put it into drive and with the higher rpms, it seemed to help the situation. I drove like this for a little bit, then put it back into OD and not long after it started again. Vacuum line, running too rich, choke, computer, ??? I plan on swappiing the computer controlled carb to an older style this weekend, but right now I just need to make sure this thing will make it home(1 hr drive).

    I've got my 12 gauge out...PULL!...

Spark plug wire arcing to ground or a neighboring wire perhaps? I had a similar problem on a car I had in college. Just my $0.02

The learning curve is a toll road...ride with someone who has already paid!

You sound like the same thing I have right now. I have an '81 and I've unplugged the lock up convertor, changed advance, modulator, and fuel filter but to no avail. I have TH350 but have to drop it down into 2nd and let rev before shifting up into third. Does yours shudder and sputter if you pull a hill with it?
