when I was doing the oilpan/timing chain on my suburban, I made a somewhat gruesome discovery... not only does my engine sit with only about 1/16 clearance between the harmonic balancer, and the front crossmember, the balancer is missing paint.

any ideas how to correct this? will it be something `easy' like engine mounts, or am I screwed in ways I hadn't thought possible?

    thanks in advance guys,

    -Rich

drop your t-case if it already isnt droped, that will raise your engine's front end up a bit, anough to get the harmonic balancer some clearance. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
