When I turn off the engine, it sputters for a few seconds before shutting down. Always when engine is warm. 77 blazer with 383. Is it vacuum leak? bad carb? Any help is appreciated from the experts here.

Excess heat will cause the sputtering after engine shut down. Though the sparks are not firing, the A/F mixture is getting ignited by cherry red deposits in the cylinder. /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif
