i am getting real close to swaping an 83, 305 with a 83 350 crate motor and i am looking for some good advice and pointers to make my ordeal a little more smooth. I am just getting into the "motor head world" and i know some one out there has some good info for me. If it makes a differance its a manual transmission.

should be a straight up swap pretty much. get ready for more power with the 350 I'm sure.

Watch out for those crate motors. ALot of them use blocks that are cast in Mexico. They seem to be fine until it is time for some machine work. They use a poor quality metal in the casting's. Made in Mexico or Mexico should be casted into the driver side rear of the block at top.

    Keep it simple!
