What do you know about Pi Tau Sigma? I've been invited to join the Tau Chi chapter but don't know **** about them. I'm supposed to go to a meeting tomorrow but basically my question is, would this look good enough on a resume to bother with it?

No one ever asked me about it when I interviewed. Some people in our office belong to it, but I believe it is nothing special. I guess it would depend upon what your resume looks like now.

    Oh yeah, I'm a civil...

I believe it's strictly an ME fraternity.

I don't know about that one, but many discipline oriented frats are a good way to network and find jobs/new jobs.

Well, anything you can do to compliment your resume is going to be worthwhile. I do not know if you belong to Phi Beta Kappa, but most Colleges and Universites often allow Phi Beta Kappa members to have the Phi Beta Kappa seal stamped on their diploma when they graduate, in order to prove they gratuated with a high GPA average. I know mine did. You may even be able to have the Pi Tau Sigma seal stamped on your diploma when you graduate. You could ask your College or University if they do this.

Some of the civils I knew were in this fraternity/group.

I wasn't invited to join, so maybe I'm a big biased...

1-ton is right though. Anything to boost your resume is a plus.
