Should be, 205 was the most common for first gen. There was only one other Tcase used and I can't think of the name,,20 something.....I have never seen a first gen without a 205 so.....

I kinda figure it is but want to be sure.If it came off of an 350 auto that would be sweet. But at this point I will take just about any GM 205 I can get /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I called my dad to see if he can get a name & number off the T-case. I don't think the 350 & t-case are out of the same vehicle. I do live in Grass Valley but work in Rancho Cordova. I should have the info. before noon. It has been in doors & covered.

Dad can't find the tag for it and can't find any other info except the casting numbers, if that will help let me know he needs to clean them up to read them. There is a plate for a power take off. This was a 350 auto. If you know of any other way of identifying it let me know & we can check it out for ya.

A for sure way to ID it is to check for a smell 3 bolt cover on the rear of the case as shown here next to the fill hole. If it has the cover ,its a 205.Thanks /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Sorry man. I looks like it is not a 205. He said there was not a 3 bolt plate there. I will try to take some pics. this weekend and I would be able to get them online on Monday. Do you know how you can run the casting numbers to find out what it is and what it is from? Sorry /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

Well I'm thinking about that 454. Is everything there? Like all brackets and acessories? Could come in handy for my buggy project.

Well smog shouldn't be that hard to get around. I think all ya gotta do is get in touch with one of the smog referee's and see what is required. Does your truck hava CA smog? If so....That sucks. Mine doesnt have a damn thing as far as smog equipment goes. Federal emissions packge. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
