I'm just trying to get a good idea of how much I could get out of my truck if I were to sell it. Also keep in mind it's totally paid for too, well except one thing, but I'm taking care of that. It's coming WES! lol The reason why this is coming up, is because I'm heading back to school in August and won't be able to afford to drive it. I'm going to get a part time job, but that's not going to make me enough. Here's a list of just general stuff:

    1988 K5
straight body, new font fenders, new driver's door, no rust at all, new paint job(white), 140,000mi, 350TBI(less than 20,000mi), TH350 H.D.(with 3K/mi. on it), 14FF, 9" lift(Skyjacker 8" springs front and rear, 1" ORD add-a-leafs), 16/38.5-15 TSL's(less than 4K/mi.), 15x14 Barts(brand new), true dual exhaust w/40 series Flowmasters, Pioneer CD(DEH4500) w/2 12" Infiniti Kappa's on 600Watt Kenwood amp, and Autometer tach(not like it's going to get me more money).

That's about all I can think of right now. I know it sounds pretty stupid to sell, but you guys have to understand. Any opinions on the price, etc. are welcome. You guys/gals(especially chicks) are welcome to talk me out of it too. Like I said, any comment is welcome. That even includes bad mouthing, etc. LOL

My opinion is to keep it, if you have it paid for, it owes you nothing, just park it, but a beater and you won't kick yourself in the butt down the road for selling your pride and joy. Just I've seen too many people sell something they love when they really didn't need to and it bites them in the butt everytime.

I sold a J#%P CJ 5 for the same reason after put a ton of money into it , only to kick myself every time I picked up a trader paper and saw what people were asking for them , My advice........put a for sale sign in the window for a worthwile amt. Sell if you absolutely have to but try to keep it. Est Value 8-9K at least!! DON'T SELL!!!!

Keep it.... nothing you buy will cost any less. My Neon actually saves me nothing to drive. Because what I save on with gas I pay for in repairs in that thing... My Blazer looks awesome, I know it, it's safe and it's paid for..... I'm telling you keep it. If you sell you will regret it big time....

I hate to sound like a broken record, but KEEP IT!!! No matter how much you think its worth or how much it really is worth, you'll never get what you put into it. Just a sad fact of selling a vehicle. But then again, some sucker (like me) may come around and once he sees it may get stars in his eyes, a warm fuzzy feeling, and fork over big bucks for it. Put a "For Sale" sign on it if you wish and entertain some offers.

Buy a beater and park it if you have the place for it and just keep comprehensive insurance on it till you can use it again. Or your going to kick yourself everytime you think of it for a long time.

Save yourself a migraine down the road and keep it. for cheap transportation, I've seen stripper S10s go as little as $500 in fairly good condition. Consider the blood, sweat and tears you've put in the Blazer and factor that into your selling price.

Never get rid of somthing that is paid for. I've made that mistake, and regreted it. With no rust I would say 7500 average its hard to say with a modified truck. From what you descibe sounds like a keeper!

I would agree with everyone saying keep it and get a beater to drive if you need to. But I also know how hard it is going to school and stuff so I know how you feel. If you have to sell it make dang sure you get enough for it... I would say no less then 7500... but then I'd start out askin more.

Faced with a simmilar dilemma. I, at a young age was forced to make a choice between giving up partying, my 4x4 and motorcycle or getting an education. Of course I did the right thing. I kept the bike, the 4x4, and threw a kegger. And I have never regreted it.
    Albert Einstein once said:
"An education is what you end up with, when you forget all you learned in school"

But dont let my warped views on life influnce you. I'm just here to have fun!

NoFear and I are talking from experience - Don't Sell!

Even after you get your education, you won't be able to replace your truck with a new one. It sounds cliche, but they don't make 'em like they used to. Sounds like you've put a lot of time and effort into your truck, hold on to it.
