    South Lakewood, CO....... FINALLY!!!
Yesterday I got to work (I park my truck at work overnight since I'm part owner of the buisness) And I notice my hood is up a bit. SO i walk towards my truck and notice that my flood lights are missing, I start to look around and my Craftman tool box is missing, my jerry cans are missing, my tranny cooler is gone, a [censored] load of misc stuff is gone from my "Gear box" (and old military box I bolted in my truck) My grant steering wheel is gone, My B-n-M Shifter Knob is gone, and the real kicker......My RS 9000's are gone.

    Estimated loss $1500.00
so much for my SSR's...no wheeling for awhile, no insurance.

    Coil sprung 71 blazer.

this is what i had to do after they atemted to get in,they stick a screw driver next to your key hole and bend all the metal all around and the lock just spins, now since i'm getting new doors i'm gonna have some diamond plate around the key holes to prevent people from getting in with a screw driver, a also have an alarm so once they opened the door they just took off running....

What do we need to do??? Start drilling lock holes in all the studs/bolts and stick padlocks on 'em???!?! They took the stuff that's bolted down!?!?!?!?!?!? Wasn't the old term, "They took everything that wasn't bolted down"?
I'm sorry. You have my sympathy for your loss.

These posts just keep freaking me out. I work 3rd shift and they don't have any security around where we have to park. I am locked in and not allowed to go outside for ANYTHING. I was told if there is a fire I am to stay inside until the fire dept gets there (my a$$). And they don't do any checking on me or my rig. Yes, its stock but they can still find things they want!
Anyone have a rundown of the rigs that were stolen...ALL of em and parts that are missing? We need to keep track of this stuff...you never know!!!

this is gettin way outta hand!!!im nervous leavin mine in my driveway enuff as it is!at nite i do keep it boxed in w/ my other cars.im glad the tranny is blown now!as a matter of fact i was on my way to leave mine at my mom and dads when the tranny pooped out.they live out in the middle of nowhere and basicly a person would have to be lost to find their house if they didnt know it was there.(i really miss livin there!)when its fixed itll live there and ill pick it up on weekends.i may keep it boxed in but it would prob go over the back of my subaru if someone really wanted it.alarm is very high on the priority list!but on the brite side(this is totally a joke)our losses are another k5 owners gain!

    Ryan,

Don't hink the Diamond plate will help! Had some kids punch a screwdriver through the lock itself. Got both sides in a month ...

Unbelievable that someone can spend that much time pulling all that stuff off without fear of getting busted.

    Sorry to hear that!

Backlash: I think it is a large number of people doing this. We need a list of where ALL were taken. Dates, times, kind, parts, etc. We might also want a map of where these are being taken from. Centralized gang?

I hate to even think it, but there MIGHT be people that are on CK5 looking at stuff to take. We all tell all our nice mods and stuff we carry...

Yeah K5Jimmy, the vette would be easier to replace compared to most of the custom blazers here. Looks better
on insurance also. Unless you have a custom vette that is.....
    Maybe next year.....?

Sorry to hear about the stuff that you lost. We have never had anything taken from our car (thank god) but we had our go cart stolen right off of our front porch in broad day light. We were given a description of the car, the driver of the car and the passenger of the car as well as a partial plate #. The d@mn police never did anything because we didn't have a full plate #. The odd part of the whole thing was that the description of everything fit my brother, his ex bitch, and her car. So we know who took it. We could never prove it though.

just the other day i walk outta work and notice my soft top window unzipped. i get inside and find a few nice new scratches on the lip of my tuffy console, they never got it open, i think all that was taken was some spare change and maybe a lighter....i don't leave anything in my rig that's not locked up or bolted down, and after this post the things bolted down don't even seem safe!
    crazy.
