does an exhaust leak make an tick noise when accelerating, and gets faster the harder you push the pedal to the metal[IMG]. And its not really that big of a deal, is it? I will get it fixed when i get my headers installed because that's where it is now is right after the stockers, but probably not for a little while.

It could also be a lifter........they sound kinda' the same. I agree with gopherkiller about headers and exhaust leaks- I used to run headers on a truck I used to own and it seemed like once a month I was under the hood tightening up the nuts to stop the "ticking"!!!

You might try getting under the truck and tightening the flange bolts on the down pipe. they may have loosend up. Also you have a heat riser on the passenger side pipe that closes when it's cold to direct the exhaust through the intake. Those things like leaking when they get old or the bolts get loose.
