Exhaust manifold

    What should be used when replacing exhaust manifold to head bolts, Grade 5 or 8?

    not a whole lot of load on those bolts so grade 5 should be good.

    On a matter of principal I use grade 8 when ever I can. you dont really need grade 8 but you will never worry about it if you use them and i have never broken a grade8 off in your block. and its only a few pennies diffrence in the cost. thats just my $.02

    mid grade with three marks is all the factory used, you dont need anything extra than that
