    exhaust options for \'79

a buddy recently got a 79 with a 350, four barrel carb, and single exhaust. did that year come with dual exhaust?
his rig doesn't have the snap he thinks it should, but he wants to keep it smog legal. what are his choices?

Not sure what state he lives in nor the legality, but here in Oregon I have a 79 with headers with dual cats and flowmasters. No issues, went through DEQ and was inspected by the Oregon State Police when I registered it here.

Duals did not come factory in 79 I don't believe. He can still do them legally (I think) IF he puts dual cats on IF it was a catalytic equipped vehicle from the factory.
