    Nay for me.
Almost every vehicle that is considered a offroad vehicle ("SUV" or truck) has these things at my school. I think they are loud and obnoxious, if they want to have ratty exhaust, by a rice mobile. Sure you want to make your truck sound "tough" but some of the ones people put on are F$#(^$ loud.
    Whats your opinion?

    EDIT:
By what I have said, I don't mean to offend anyone if they do, or like them.

Flowmaster 40 series mufflers with chrome tips out the back, show them who's BOSS. (But only for a little Bling Bling) if you want to spend money on that sort of thing. It depends on where you want to go with dressing up your truck or not. I'm more about functionality, rather than show, so no.

If it doesn't make it go faster or be more capable then you don't need them.:D I put exhaust on my '95 Z28 and the guy at the muffler shop thought I was nuts since I wanted not only a single 3" outlet instead of duals, but I didn't want any kind of tip on it either and had him bend it so it was up out of view as much as possible. Simple is always best.;)

Yep, simple and cheap. I have two whatever 2.5" muffler was cheapest at autozone, and two 90* bends. Dumps right under the fram a foot behind the cab

I like angle cut tips personally, My friend who has his 02 GMC 2500 Dual out, has them, they are a nice touch. Its a tow rig/farm truck/daily driver for him not a offroader. My truck has a black tip that points the exhaust at the ground which is nice for my Diesel so I dont get all teh smoke and unburned fuel on the side of my box, like my old C10.

I guess I would have to say it depends on the vehicle, also the owner, some people like a super quiet truck, and others like True duals right off the headers with no Cat or Muffler.

I like mine, 4"x24" stainless steel, slash cuts, comin out at a 45* angle in front of the rear tire. No one paces me on the interstate, bwhahaha.

Had a chrome tip, angled 45 degrees dumpin straight out behind the rear driver tire. Rocks took care of that real quick, and a quick sawzall job has it dumping straight down between the gas tank and the springs. Magnaflow muffler is perfect for me, aggressive when I romp on it, subtle rumble at idle.

As the saying goes, chrome don't getcha home...

i like them run out the sides behind the rear tire. my 91 C1500 had 2 3.5" stainless slash tips out each corner of the bed. looked and sounded sweet. maybe its time my K1500 gets some attention...
