    Hey!
    im redoing my exhaust still and have yet another ?
    If anyone knows on an 88k5 is there one of those exhaust heat riser flap valve things on the pass. side or drivers side?Any help would be appreciated!

    take a look and see...my 86 k10 has heatriser manifolds on it, but its a v6 truck with a 350 someone swapped in...

    I know the 87 K5 that I got my y pipe off of, to put on my 83 K5, had the same heat riser on the passenger side as my 83 did.

    yep on my 1987 K5 the heat rise *WAS* on the right side of the air cleaner (passenger side)

    "WAS" being the key word in that sentence.

    There, "WAS" one on mine too.

    thanks thats just what i needed to know.i bought a new y-pipe and wondered why it looked short or crooked depending on how i held it.
