i have a 84 k5 with a 305 4spd. I would like to know if anyone can recomend a good exhaust system for my truck. no modifications have been made but I do plan to add an MSD ignition system. (free flowing but not that loud, every day driver)

I have heard lot of good things about the edelbroc exhaust systems. Geting those for my 77 Blazer with 400cid engine.

    I have the following system:

    -Flowtech Afterburner headers
    -2xFlowmaster 40 series mufflers
-2.5" dual pipe all the way from the headers to behind the rear wheels.
    -H-pipe.

I'm very happy and was not THAT expensive. If you find the 40 series to be too loud, you can go with 50 or 70 series. Check out http://www.flowtech.com.

You can hear the sound of my system at my website.

I run 2.5 inch aluminum pipe right after the stock manifolds to a Flowmaster and it sounds loud only when you get on the gas.....

If it ain't a Chevy, don't raise it up!

I have an 88 and let me tell you something, i wanted exhaust. I wanted cheap but not crappy, so i ordered a walker high-flow cat, and Flowmaster single 3" force II system. I got it put on professionally, and i was impressed. It exits in stock position, so it looks cool with a big stainless pipe sticking out. It sounds so awsome, at idle it is not loud, but when you get on it, it sounds like a bad-ass truck.

Keep the shiny side up, and the greasy side down.
