    Extended Brake lines with 4\"s?

I got a 76 K10 with a 4"suspension lift. Would it be a good idea to get extended brake lines? Or should I not worry about it. I havent had any problems yet. Thanks for your input.

You could get away without them, but if you start to improve the flex on your truck (or has happened before you purchased it), then you'll want to get extended lines.

I would put the lines on your "future parts" list. I just changed mine (my rubber ones were starting to get little cracks in them.) I'm running 2.5" lift and went with the 4 inch lines.

Also depending on how well it flexs you may need to go longer than the 4" extended lines. I run the longest lines Super Lift makes. They are for their 12" lift. Never had a problem with them, but did have a problem with the ones that were for a 4" lift.

I've got a 4" lift and I went ahead and put on the superlift 12" extensions. I plan on getting more flex in the future and I didnt want to replace my lines again so I bought the longest available. I also have dropdown brackets on them that give me another 4"s

My lines were just lowered at the frame point w/ some drop brackets welded to the frame when I got it. I put on the 4-6" procomp lines and left them in the drop down brackets (which drop them down around 3")...plenty of slack now.

yep, you'll definitely want some longer brake lines. ProComp stainless ones are purdy nice, thats what I use on my rig. The kit I got is supposed to be for 4-6" of lift... so it gives me some leeway (since I have around 5" of lift) and allows for a good amount of flex.

I have a 2" lift in the front and my stock lines start binding way before my truck would stop flexing... I got some lines for a 6" coming..
