I have seen 2 also, both in texas. One lady let me look inside and it sure looks factory or an excellent coach builder type deal.
The extended cab part had all molded plasted like the stiff on the A pillars and door panels, same color.
She said she gets at least one or 2 people every week trying to buy it.

That was never factory. All you'll find are one off customs and photo-chops like this:

There's one in town here that looks just like a toyota Xcab piece stuck behind the reg. cab. No extra door or anything like above, a true xtra cab type deal. Stock xtra cab chev's do not exist to my knowledge.

Looks like half a 'Burban barn door stuck there! Pretty good idea.

The two one's i saw were also both in Texas, the both looked exactly the same as the one in the pictures of the white one above. One of them was forsale in my city at a used car lot. They both looked like they were factory but i guess some company converted them or something.

Man im glad they didn't make it, something about the shape of the back window just doesn't look right that short.

yeah I have seen one or two here in College Station, as well as a few running around the Houston area, but those in Houston were pretty beat to crap.

Definitely not factory -- look through the Brochures, never offered. Also note the extreme rarity -- there's less of them than Chalets ;)

OTOH, they are professionally done, like the various hearses and the Armbruster/Stageway limo conversions.

The white one just ain't right, something about the proportions. The photochop brown one is actually quite good looking IMHO.

I read an article on the "Extended Cab" 60's - 80's truck in one of the classics mags a couple of years ago. Turns out there were several coach builders who did them for racing teams and the like but like the Ford "Suburbans" you see from time to time made on an F-25 Chassis they were never factory. They had picktures of a 65 3+3 you would swear came right off a factory line.
