    on mine i took the factory backet, ground off the two rivets, then took two spring bushing sleeves and (for my 4" lift) cut about 1/4 of the length off and used the 3/4 length side and put a bolt through the middle of the sleeve into the frame and put a nut on the otehr end. FOr your 6" you might need the full length. Thats what i did and it worked.
    look over the spring and u can see the brake cable bracket.

    I used something a little less high tech, I pulled the cable out and added a section of 1/2" pipe 2" long.

    If you want to consider getting longer parking brake cables instead, you might look for cables from a van. When I pulled my 14-bolt out of a van, I discovered that it had longer parking brake cables than the Blazer.

    Ok... thru an extensive search and comparison. I think I have found the right length parking brake cables for my 72 with a 6" lift. with part numbers. It looks like the rear parking brake cables from a 1971-1975 G10 van is the right length.

    The rear cables for a 125 inch wheel base van is
    RAYBESTOS Part # BC92465 {46" Overall Length}

    and the rear cables for the 110 inch wheel base is
    RAYBESTOS Part # BC92918 {47 1/4" Overall Length}

    BTW the stock cables for a 72 Blazer are 40 1/2 inch overall length.
    I'm going to purchase them tomorrow and let you all know for sure that they work. From the images of the cable the ends on all 3 are the same.
