I am in the process of refurbishing a 1984 full size blazer. I will be putting in a new 350 crate engine in the nest couple of weeks. The other day I found for sale a 1982 1/2 ton 4wd pickup ( chevy) diesel for sale. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if any of the driveline, suspension parts on the 82 would fit on my 84. The interiors look very similar, guages look like they would interchange. I am more interested in axles, transfer cases transmissions etc. I'm a rookie so any help or information that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Yes they interchange, but i have to ask why? Nothing on the pick-up would be any stronger than what you have. Unless you're replacing a bad tranny, or a blown rear end...
