I worked late last night and didn't get home till 5 this morning so I decided to do a little work on my truck before i went to bed. well as I'm sitting under the hood changing out my valve cover gaskets a god damn earthquake hitts. It made me fall farther into my engine compartment after the hood wacked me in hte head.
    just wanted to vent

I heard about from an unreliable second party...I had my doubts as to how close and big it was if I didn't notice it. We get a lot of 4 pointers off the coast and I never feel those either.

I love it that everyone thinks CA is nothing but quake country when we have some states like Texas and Tennessee and even New York which sit on fatter fault lines then we do.... ! Quakes are actually not as common here as forest fires and mudslides. We also have a huge problem every few years with flooding if you can believe that...! But quakes, yeah when we have em we have em big time, but they don't hit constantly... and I'd take em anyday over tornados!

Hey I'm a mile and a half from Northridge Ca where we had a fun one some years ago. Hey you say you live between Seattle and Tacoma. Could it be Federal Way? Just curious, my girlfriend has family up there and every once in a while I drive up there.

Do what I do. Get a glass fill it with ice and gin. Place a lemon twist in it and let Mother Nature mix it. Enjoy.

Just a note to all you east coasters. The largest recorded earthquake was located in the Tennesee river valley. The indians said the mississippi actualy changed direction after that one!
