You realize the Ford spindles for the year '79 use 5 bolts/nuts to hold them to the knuckle? Unlike the GM which use 6 bolts/nuts.

Just wanted to make sure you knew. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

It's been a long time since I messed with Ford stuff. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

My very first 4x4 was a '75 F150. I've torn into '73-'79 Ford trucks before.

I just can't remember what size bearings the '78-'79 spindles take as far as them matching the GM "first" and "second" design spindles. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

Im going by a ford guy and he say's the first gen hub and bearing is what i use. The reason i want the ford spindle it has the larger flange to bolt it to a knuckle. 1 FN HI K5
