Fabricated my tire carrier

    Well, finally figured out a way to carry my spare in the front or rear receiver and still be able to open the hood or tailgate easily. It works great.
    I'll notch it twice and weld back to position it nearer the tailgate as soon as I get the front receiver relocated. That is tomorrows project!

    I hung on it and jerked and bounced around like 'ell. Hope da neighbors didn't see me!!!:crazy: :crazy: :crazy:

    Yea when it's down it held me. Didn't jump on it then though.......go try now!!!


    Oh yea...............got the truck just a bouncing with it down. Get good leverage. No problem!!!:grin:

    Cool idea. I think moving it closer to the tailgate will make it perfect.

    Good idea. I have been thinking about doing something like that for my K5. I hate my 38" swamper sqeaking against the inside of my tailgate everytime I hit a bump. I miss my stinger tire carrier...

    i appreciate it. i used to weld for a living, so ive got the physical part down. Its the mental part that i need help with. :O) .
