I received an e-mail from a guy in Italy yesterday. He's looking for some kind of Factory "offical" documentation as to what kind of tires he can run. I guess he wants to run 33"s, but the government is giving him slack. So he wants to prove what sizes he can run. I'm thinking 31"s might be the largest factory tire.

I too got that email.
I sent him to a web site that has all the brochures for every year of a K5 was for sale. I don't know if he is going to beable to get an "Official" document that says it is OK to run a 33" tire!!??

Hahaha I gues he hit us all. I sent him back a e-mail but haven't heard from him. In some places you can only increase by a size or two. I asked him if that was how it was because I belive in the late 80's they came stock with 31's. I figure he could get to atleast 32's if thats how it is over there.

Speaking of tire size - does the width affect anything negatively? My new baby (87 Blazer) came with 32 x 11.50. I love the solid grip and feel, plus looks cool too. Is there a down side?
