Yeah, that movie rocks! The power is impressive for a little motor, but the cars are pretty light too. And they push those things to the limit. Imagine a turbo charged nitrous injected small block, that thing would produce enough power to demolish most drivetrains. Most domestics don't use nitrous and forced induction...at least not nearly as much as the import crowd. Ant V-8's just sound better. I hate those damn coffee can exhausts on those rice burners.

If you want to talk about 4cyl's with power, get into Sport bikes. I just totalled my 2nd one, but let me tell you, the 0-60 times on my 2001 Honda 929 were outragous, not to mention the 125+ horses @ the rear wheel on a bike that weighs in at 365lbs dry. No other vehicle on the road will compete with a sport bike.

change the gears and put in a 502 with some nitro boosters and then pour a cup of rerefined oil over the block, find some people and race. They'll think by the way it is smoking it's a piece of crap, then burn their ass in your 3 ton truck!

I knew that stupid fruit bootin' movie would spawn a mass of fruity ass dorks....it's already pretty bad in this town, but I know it's going to get worse.......Your going to look like a dumb ass if you do sell your truck, trust me...think of all the 16-17 year old kids out there who's parents are going to be buying them Honda's and Eclipses, and Acura's now and give them the money to "trick" them out.....don't do it man you'll look like a poser!!!

Yep!! It's definatly a jEEP thing...So, what your excuse???

No othervehicle on the road will compare with a sport bike? Not quite. Look up the specs for quarter mile times for a Hayabusa (185 RWHP), fastest prodction bike made, its in the tens. Bikes can't put down the power like a car with huge slicks. There are a lot of hopped up cars that will turn times like this or better. Dont get me wrong, I love bikes, (check my 2nd 4x4 in my profile) but cars can go faster. Now stock, there is no comparison, a 12k sportbike will decimate any production car out there, including +100K "supercars." I'm planning on getting a sportbike myself actually [IMG]

My nova can still eat any ricer around here. I knew as soon as i saw the previews for that movie, with the charger getting trashed, the rice kids were gonna love it, but that makes me sick. I can't believe the honda, which started as an economical family car became all the rage. I guess, what can you do - i just can't stand those imports.
    eric

Hell, it don't really matter....it's just for my race car.

I hate that rice crap. The movie was cool, but made me hate rice even more. Seems to have the oppisite effect on everyone else though....If I ever got a Honda for some reason, I wouldn't worry about tricking out the 4 cyl. I'd drop a V6 in there...it would be unstoppable!!!! j/k BTW, I really doubt those engines c an handle all that nitrous for long.....

Wow, I'm really surprised by this thread. All the previews I saw of this movie made me think it was some car-based soap opera for guys. I saw a couple shots of some ricers zipping around, and then some crap about "my brother blah blah blah, but I love you, blah blah blah."
Plus the name kinda reminds me of "the young and the restless"...

Ricers don't really impress me, 'cause you could lift most of them up by hand, and I so rarely see any that are more than just a BKR... Maybe I should see the movie.

I'm with UseYourBlinker. Why in the heck is this post on this forum? Am I the only one that feels this latest rice-burner trend will go the way of customized vans in the 70s, mini trucks in the 80s, and the little Calvin pissing decals in the 90s? They better enjoy it while they can because it isn't going to be here very much longer. Are they fast? yes Does anybody care? NO!!! Now lets not poison this forum by talking about how "rad" these rice-burners are...
