Sorry to the peeps up in alaska, post up your favs from your state lol.

OK guys wondering who your favs are?

there are lots out there, i like new rock mostly but listen to pritty much anything.

MY all time fav is Matt good. formerly the matthew good band.

i liked him befor but a few years back when my very good friend died ( a big matt good fan) i couldent listen to his music at all, espesaly a very powerfull song called "weapon" but after time had past i started listening to him again, and i see tons of meaning and power in his songs, now he is my fav.
    whats yours?

I'm a big fan of The Tea Party. I never really liked them until I saw them live- man, do they kick ass on stage!!!!

I also really like Blue Rodeo. They never get pigeonholed in one genre of music, and always put on a quality live show.

Big Sugar really rocked before they broke up. Two of my all-time fave songs are "All Hell for a Basement" and their cover of "Dear Mr. Fantasy". I just heard that Gordy is back on tour with a new band.

Rush. Amazing musicians, incredible songwriting skills and the best rock drummer in the world. 'Nuff said.

I have a question for you, Dave. Have you ever seen an interview with Matt Good? The guy might be a good musician(although a lot of his songs sound the same), but his ego and crappy attitude towards others really turned me off of his music. He's a real dickhead.

i find him refeashing that he is anti everything.

he dismesses alot of the standered cultur aroung the profestion, and is not afraid to say what he thinks sucks (even his own song some were big hits)

if you can find and intervew called Matt rants "tits and ass"

    THAT is a gold one,

i find that his best songs are not singles that are releast, there good and some i relly like but the othere in the albums i like the best, even a few that were never on any albums i really like

Big Tea Party fan...although I still haven't bought their latest CD. my favorite album is "The edges of twilight". If it was possible to wear a CD out this one would be it for me. Brilliant lyrics...

I can't believe no one has mentioned The Hip yet! They've kinda gone away from the stuff I like, but they're older stuff rocks! :saweet: Saw them in the Soo too, before they blacklisted the city.

That is Tragic. I remember where I was when I first heard the song "New Orleans is sinking". 1990 working at a Firestone store. It's strange I haven't heard that song on the radio recently. I really like that band. I have like 5 of their albums and I have seen then once down here. Thugs listening to "Thugs". And I'm not even 38 years old.
