Not really a "song" but one of the best IMO

Ragged Old Flag - Johnny Cash

    And also

Fightin' Side of me - Merle Haggard

honestly, i think its a bad idea. if anything, send him a cd of some stuff that will take his mind off of the task at hand, and being away from home.

Back in the 70s, JOHN WAYNE did an album. I believe it is called "America, Why I Love Her". No real songs, just narration with music in the background, but GREAT stuff. Personally, my favorite is the Marines Hymn.

I worked with Chris Wright for almost 2 years - great guy. I'm proud to call him a friend.
Chely came to our squadron one time before Chris left for a new duty station (well before 9/11), and she spent nearly the whole day there with us. It was a damn shame that she kinda "dropped in"; there was no time to get permission from HQMC to take her out for a flight, with her brother crewing the aircraft. I think that would've been cool as hell for them...
