When I bought my 93 from a dealer they really messed up. They never cleaned the inside of the truck so I took it back to have it done. They had my truck for 2 weeks and when they gave it back it hadnt been touched. So another 2 weeks. Then they decided not to let me keep the rental car they gave me to use while they had my truck. After a month still hadnt cleaned OR done any of the workd that was promised when I bought the truck.

I hate dealers, I will never buy a vehicle and make payments again. You pay too much on something that you have to make payments for which in turn costs even MORE money due to interest. Ill build it before I do that. I would much rather OWN my truck then make payments on one. All that money and work and it still doesnt belong to you until you pay it off. Then they screw you out of anything they promised they would do or wiggle right out of warrenties. /forums/images/icons/mad.gif Then they treat it like crap anyway like that poor woman /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

Id'a sued them in small claims court. I had to do that once with a car dealer. What was really funny was that the judge had bought a car from them several years ago and had a horrible experience. It was good for me! He applied the triple damages law. I got $1000 for replacing my own battery, starter, alt, and cables. They were supposed to replace everything before I picked it up (it was written in the contract). I left it with them for a week. When I picked it up, they handed me some paper work that said it had been all fixed and the keys and sent me down the road. It left me stranded in the middle of BFE about an hour later. I sued them for the cost of parts, labor, and expenses to get it home. The judge threw the book at them! BAD for them...GOOD for me!! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

OK, I may get sh!t for this (don't even know why I need to do it but) How is a potencially inflated claim of exsive speed a reson to potencially ruin someones life? Wouldn't some sort of compensation, and suspending the guy have been enough?
Those people at those boards have pictures of their cars doing huge burnouts n' stuff. I know they own the cars and can do anything they want but the point is they do way worse things to their cars. Granted I wouldn't/haven't liked "abuse" on my vehicle. But I delt with it one on one with the problem and did not feel I needed to get someone fired.
Maybe I just don't see the sevarity of a, by the way un verified admission of speed. If the owner would have seen it then I would have seen the gloves comming off, but they didn't so.......I will admit in my younger years I did some stupid things with other peoples things (the stuff you should get fired for) In my old age (lol) I've learned that respect & karma...........very big things. Anyway, let me say this in person I'm a very passive person, I will do anything for seemingly anybody. Yes it does take alot to get me fired up (and even then I don't raise my vioce "much") I do get my point across though. Even in a fit of rage I would never have asked for this poor bastards job. Do I just not get it? /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

Well.....he not only published this womans license plate on the internet and called her stupid among other things, but he took a 35+ thousand dollar car out on public roads and did 140+ miles an hour. Not only is that totally wrong but its bull to treat anyones car like that. He risked totaling the womans car, and killing someone. Not to mention his admission of running it hard. Why should she pay this man to treat her property like that? Like complete Crap? She works hard to pay for that car and in no way shape or form did she deserve for her beloved car to be treated that way. Let alone the way SHE was treated. If the guy wanted to take a car like that and drive it hard and risk ruining it then he should have bought on for himself!

I personally think he deserves to have his job life ruined. He shouldn't be allowed to be in-trusted with anyones belongings. EVER. He thinks he can do those kinds of things behind peoples backs, then post it on the internet like he is some god. His stupidity gave him everything he deserves. He is the one who ruined his career NOT her. HE did it. He is at fault for everything he is getting.

First I'll say I do think the guy was a complete MORON!!! For posting all the things about the car, Plate #. DUMB!
I will also say this, he did not get that car up to 140MPH! No Fing way. But I'm sure he did take it up to speed, The complaint was for lack of power and hot cats! The only way to test that is to get the car movin'. Futher more the owner stated that the car had been on a dyno. They beat the car on those, have you ever taken a car to the dyno, WOT in usually 4th. Over 100mph! The whole reason she took the car in was because it was not performing. The reason it had "hot" cats BTW is because on a dyno there is no air flow.
Now about the claim of speed, He stated that he went 140MPH. Did anyone see this..........no, there fore this is an unconfermed admission of speed. I could say I took a ride in a Brand spanking new M3 BMW, and got it up to 150 MPH when the speed gov. kicked in. Woh what a ride!! But guess what I haven't but you don't know that so ...........whos to say other than being a dumb a$$ this guy went over 140 MPH

There is a level of trust when you have your car serviced. Whether the guy actually went 140 or 120 or even just 100 is of no consequence. It's a moot point because he betrayed the express wishes of the customer that it not be taken out and thrashed by some punk.

The main reason for losing his job is that his actions have jeopardized the SVT priveledges the dealership currently has. It's not just that this guy was dumb, his actions are more far reaching than one car and one joyride. The dealer may lose their SVT designation and not be able to sell any more SVT's or service any more.

The fact the car had been on a chassis dyno previous has nothing to do with anything. Using that as justification for taking someone elses car against their wishes and thrashing on it is just trying to rationalize 'dumb' after the fact. Sorta like a woman being blamed for being raped cuz she was good looking and dressed like she wanted it...

Would you ever trust a Dentist that had assaulted a patient under anastetic? Kind of an exteme comparison but it all comes down to trust. This dope betrayed a trust. Rationalizing it becaue of the type of car or any previous work done to it shouldn't be acceptable.

Imagine if something went wrong with the car, or if he wrecked, or worse yet if he had hurt someone? The potential for disaster both financial and otherwise was huge. He risked a customers car and a dealers rep for a stupid joyride...he should be glad he got away without a beating!

I will say I'm not comming to this monkeys defence. So please don't misunderstand me. I just think if he was a good Tech. the means did not justify the ends. I would also say theres alot of should haves in this pitcular senerio.
I do think this behavior it wrong on diffrent levels, however again, unconfermed. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Im not coming down on you. I completely understand what youa re saying. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif I want to find that guy and ripe his head off. LOL /forums/images/icons/smile.gif I have been walked all over at dealerships. They treat you like gold before you buy something but once they have your money they walk all over you. So this just makes me more mad. Thats all. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

The fact that he claimed he did in my opinion should be enough. He is giving an example of how people in his business work. The dealership was in there right just for that to fire him. He is speaking for their dealership and the way it handles peoples belongings. If it were my company, I wouldn't want a guy like that working for me. His attitude and the way he "claims" he treats customers cars dint belong in a professional place. This isn't some economy everyday car. Its a very expensive car that a person has to work very hard to have. Professionalism and care for the customers should be first

"We hit 140 real quick"
"I just had to run it, it was calling my name"
"Get this the owner is a woman"
"Drove her hard"
"Since I am the mustang specialist, I guess I'm the punk. The more to drive her 03 covert cobra to see what its got. hehe hope she didnt have a hidden camera in that car"
"Get this her plates day xxx-xxx (edited out by moderator of that forum)"

That is absolutely ridiculous. Whether he did what he says doesn't matter. He shouldn't be allowed near anyones property especially 35+ thousand dollars worth. Nor should he be representative to any company who wants to show professionalism to their customers. I still believe by his actions and statements that he is 100% responsible for everything he gets. Go buy your own car and do that crap to it. If you come near mine with your better then though attitude and treat my property like crap your going to get an a** whoopin. /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

I bet if it was some big guy with huge muscles he wouldn't have done that to her car. He is a "mustange specialist" and probably sees a few of those a week. The fact that he chose her car, treated it like he probubly woudnt treat his own car, then made fun of her, and published private information on a chat board just goes to show how immature, arrogant and unprofessional that rat is. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif Again its just my opinion /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
