What do you mean by FBX? Where did you get that from? Do you know what it stands for???
About the most I can make out of it, is maybe it is a block code.
What engine are we talking about? Since I see you have a '90, I would imagine it is a TBI.
This FBX is probably a block or engine code.
If it is a 305 or 350, you should have no problems running any type of aftermarket accessories/hi-po parts on that motor for that year of Blazer.

More than likely that is just an engine code. You should have a TBI, correct?
They may have listed the engine code in different places for different models.

TBI stands for Throttle Body Injection. That is fuel injection. TPI stands for Tuned Port Injection. No clue what FBX means.

You don't look dumb, Forums are for helping each other out and learning stuff from others. At one time or another everyone else had to learn what TBI stood for, as far as FBX never heard of it either.

A few posts below someone was asking for TBI diagrams. Check them out and compare them to what you have. That way you will know if it's a TBI or not. Also, many of us have pics on our websites. Some have TPI on their rigs. Find one that looks like yours and don't be afraid to ask. Mine has a Quadrajet Carburetor.

The FBX is the code for the type of emission equipment you have and how it is plumbed...in 1986 they were up to the end of the YXX versions and they started over with the AAA's....yours is just the FBX version. My 86 is a YDX, 4bbl federal high and low altitude and export with auto tranny. It is just the designation for the diagram for the vacuum and emissions hoses.

  12. I would have to agree with you, I was looking through my Haynes manual and that was the closest thing I could find on it, but it wasn't specific enough to post. The code changes depending on alot of different options.
