    Feelin\' Fishy?

Upon occassion the back end of my Blazer wanders, bounced and around and causes the vehicle to wabble side to side. This is a little scary when you're going 45 mph!

    What could cause this?

I have a 4" suspension lift, 2" body lift (thinking of removing the body lift and getting adding 2" of springs, 35" tires, rancho 9000 series shocks.

Mmmmm, lug nuts, loose bolts on the springs/hangers, missing or badly worn bushings, something broke????

Just inspect the whole shebang, shake, pull, tug on everything in sight, and put a wrench to it all to make sure all is well.....

does it happen out of the blue or when you hit a row of bumps? theres a spot going to work that does it to mine, i watch other people in front of me sometimes and they stay strait. the short wheel base will do it on some bumps. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

Well, they are 9000 series Ranchos, maybe 20 years old or so, so they should be fine. I guess I'll take one off and see how it responds.

It seems to happen out of the blue too.

This is more than uncomfortable, it's down right scary; nearly causes a loss of control. That's a really BAD thing in my opinion.

I dont' mind a rough ride, heck, it's a big ole offroad vehicle, it's wonderful in the dirt.

i was making fun of my friend about the ride. check you tires they may be falling apart or blems or the wheel weights fell off,(don't laugh my 36's are balanced, no poop) the tires i'm talking about really are. the drivers front has 8 lbs. on it ,crazy huh.the passenger side HAD 15lbs.but the caliper took care of that. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

Bad shocks plus really worn springs might cause this???????

The springs are so new that they actually have the sticker on them still!

These shocks are adjustable, so maybe I'll go set them as stiff as I possibly can and see.....
