I'm in WA...and sometimes wheel in OR as well. I want to do some major fender trimming soon....but I always want my rig to be street legal. Is there any conflict there. I doubt I'd chop quite as much as Pete did (blazer/jimmy of the month!), but prolly pretty close. Anyone know if thats a prob in WA/OR? Or...where I might find out? Any info appreciated!

  2. cut away! i think all they care about is how far past the fenders the tires stick out. although i see lots of guys running 44s and no flares. also i think they make you have mud flaps if you have really big tires.

I got pulled over in WA. state last spring. All he was concerned with was my "bumpers were too high" (they're not) and my tires stick out past the fenders (they do) My fenders are very trimmed, and he didn't say a thing about them.

I told him they were my trail tires and I was only passing through WA on my way home and he let me off with a warning...
