I have the following questions regarding fender trimming a K5:

    1) How much lift is required to fit 38" tires if the wheelwells have been cut-out?

    2) How much sheetmetal gets cut out for the Bushwacker cut-out flares to fit?

    3) Are there alternative products to the Bushwacker cut-out flares?

    Thanks for your help.

well i, ive heard of guys on here running 38's with 4" of lift, and id say that would work for you. Check out Warn's 4X Flares, they may be what you want. http://www.warn.com

Good subject. What I would like to know is how in the heck the trimming to the front part of the fender (in front of the front tire) is made without actually cutting the inner fenderwell. Anyone have pics out there?

I think even with heavily cut fenders you would need 6" at a minimum. Any less and you will need to remove the inner fender and will still contact the firewall.
