Let me know if you find out, I want one too! I emailed and asked about first gen top, maybe if enough people would email them, they might make us one available. So, everyone send them an email.

They emailed me back.....(We used to sell them, but sold the molds to a gentleman in California. He
is now making them. His name is Onnis Newell @ 559/299-8333. Thanks for
your interest.). Some of you guys in California give him a call and see how much if he's the man who is still making them and let us know. Tommy

I just have to wonder why you would want to do this? The reason I bought my first K5, some 20 years ago, was that I was tired of never having a place to lock up stuff in my pickups and not having room for friends to come along for the ride. The K5 seemed like an excellent solution. It had seating for 4 adults, room behind the rear seat to store things and have them locked inside. Plus it was a blast to drive!

While I think they look pretty cool with the pickup-type cab, you lose a lot of the functionality of the K5.

not everyone on this forum has the same needs as everybody else. So many people ask me why I want to do this because it is something they would not do. I do not need to know what you would do, I want to do this because I want to, that is all. I don't need to explain my reasons to anybody. If you don't want to do it to yours fine but don't give me useless information when I ask a simple question. You either know where to get the top or you don't. Sorry if this offends you or anybody else here but I am tired of everybody telling me what they want me to do with MY K-5.

Harry, I appologize to you for writing that last post. I shouldn't have written it, I haven't had the best luck today and I took it out on you. Once again I appologize.
