filling a 12 bolt rear

    on the passenger side of my 12 bolt there is a plug that i am assuming is the fill plug. when i refill the housing, is that what i use and do i just fill it untill i cant get anymore in?

    Yes, the bolt on the side is the fill hole. You will fill it up until the gear oil is level with the bottom of that fill hole. I think it takes about 2 or 3 quarts.
