i feel kind of stupid asking this, but how do i put the gear oil in the rear end now that i have it back together. my diff cover has no fill plug. do i just pour it through the vent tube? if so
how do i tell if i have enough in? what is the best oil for a hot climate, and should i use
an additive, and what weight and brand of oil should i use with the lockright locker

    It needs a bigger motor.
    what's in it now?
doen't matter it NEEDS A BIGGER MOTOR

There should be a plug on the side of the housing. It's recessed and easy to miss. Look on the passenger side infront of the axle tube. I think!

If it breaks, it wasn't good enough!

Your parts store should have a pump that goes on the one gallon jugs of gear oil. It usually cost under $10, and makes filling the rear end much easier and quicker.

You should be able to use the standard 80/90w with the locker. I don't use any additives, just the oil.
