Finally got the ball rolling onthe build up. Motor is in, trans is in. Axles are under, still need to weld rear spring perches though. Front axle still needs the new gears and locker, hopefull a week or so for that. Spring pershces will come after the doubler is set up, whcih I just got the adapter two days ago. So, that is next along with two custom cross members. Steering box is refreshed with new seals. Brace is in, crack patch is welded in. Cross over is done. Tail shafts on 205s are swapped. 203 is almost apart. Greasable shackles and bushings are in. Front bumper is made, just need to incorparate the winch in when I get that. Rear shock mounts are half made, lower ones are done.
I think that is about it for now.

Took the day off to go work on it some more.

44s are just waiting to go on. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

Sounds like your right on track for the "Built not Bought" code!

Probably not. I am hoping for early August.

Still lots of little things to get together. Durabak the interior, guages, winch wiring, fender trimming, new ramps for the trailer, trans cooler, headers, exhaust, roll cage. Etc Etc Etc.

Trust me... I am overly anxious. CANT STAND THIS ANYMORE!!!

The only things that will not be built are the body and frame. Well, I guess the frame, since the front section floor of the body will be redone since there was some surprise rust there. Oh, and the fender trimming.

Well, I guess I did patch and brace the section of the frame around the steering box, and new crossmembers. So, maybe the whole thing is built, kind of. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Well, the doubler is done and installed. Rear shock mounts, top and bottom are done. Cross members are all done. 44 TSLs are mounted. Dana 60 calipers trimmed. 44s only stick out about 3 1/2 inches. I like it.
Cage is here, going to weld up this weekend. Driveashafts are being made this weekend by a friend. Gears go in next week for the front axle.

Still need to work on the interir a little mroe and start it up.

Oh, and buy the winch too. And a little work on some gauges.

But, it is coming along nicely. Cant wait. Mid to late August should be the first test run. Too long... /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

Wow, sounds like your coming along nicely. I'm all set up to buy my first K5 this weekend, we'll just have to see how it goes.
