Bottom line is, I still need a lot of practice. I shot 100 rounds of 38 special and 50 round of 357 mags. Those 357's sound like a hand cannon with that porting :doah: I got gofergurl to shoot a cylinder of the 38 specials and she didn't care for it at all. But, I talked to the guy that ran the range, and got a Taurus 2" .22 revolver that she took a liking to. I think she shot about 75 rounds of the .22.

    Good times :)

If you want to try some hot .357, get some IMI (Israel Military Industries) SWC. Keep away from port exhaust and cylinder gap.:D

Did you go to a public range? Those public ranges scare me...at least here in Las Vegas. In a smaller town they are probably cool, but here in Las Vegas all the gun shops with an indoor public shooting range rent hand guns/rifles/automatic weapons to anybody with a valid ID. I have seen some strange people (cross dressers, gangbangers, hookers) come in to rent guns, and shoot them in the public shooting ranges here in Las Vegas. I stay away from them in this town. I go out to the open desert to shoot. There are some private ranges here in Nevada, which require paid membership to use, I think would be cool to go to.

It was a public range, however between me, gofergurl, and the guy running the place there were only 5 people there. All the people there were great, definately some place to go back to in my book.

Here's a pic of the gun (from the manufacturer's website).... I tried to get gofergurl to take some action shots today, but she was afraid people would be mad that someone was taking pictures on the range.

This is the the gun I carry for my CCW. It is a Ruger SP-101 5-Round .357 Magnum with a 2-1/4" barrel, and spurless triger (no hammer thumb lever). gofergurl needs to man-up, and shoot that .357 of yours with some mag rounds in it. Hell...my wife is a tiny little 105 pound thing, and she shot my friends S&W .44 Mag Anaconda with super hot loads in it. :D

Well, I'm just happy she found something she likes to shoot :) Once she said she like shooting the .22 I was grinning from ear-to-ear (on the inside at least). Come Jan 1st, Kansas will have CCW. I'm looking forward to that day. Until then, no-carry. Well, you can open carry in most places, but the "sheeple" kind of freak out if they see a .357 mag on a non-LEO.

I was happy shooting the .22. It was cool seeing that if I tried hard enough I could get some bullseyes. I got at least one on all of my target pages. :)

    Looks like fun! :)

Do you have any interference problems with the grip and speedloaders? My ribber grip just slightly gets in the way of a speedloader.

Why am I guessing that you don't really need a speed loader with that .....

    How true,,,

While the homie's are popin' off caps with their .40's at paper targets 15 ft. in front of them,,I'm blastin clay pigeons at 75 yards with open sights,,,

Ever read the ballistic spec's on the 454 ?? It hits like a truck,,,, over 1800 ft lbs at about 1625 FPS.....Max Chamber pressure developed - about 65,000 PSI.
