Had loads of fun saturday morning in OKC. SkulNBonz and Okiemuddog met me at the Trailchasers 4x4 show. They had two ramps, a 20 degree and a 30 degree. I tried my hand on the 20 degree...

Still one of the sweetest trucks I know! Nice ramp score. got mine up with a 740 but I know half of it is body flex /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. So how's the tire carrier holding up?

    Thanks, but it's not enough!
The guy doing the ramp said it was the best score for a full size, but some of the Jeeps were ramping 1000+.

The only thin I noticed that was limiting my ramp was the rear springs. The overload kept it from colasping fully.

The front bump stop kept those spring pack from inverting!

Looks like I have more work to do!

    Thanks!

5.5" BDS springs up front on the D60 makes about 7" of lift up front.
The rear includes 4" BDS springs, 4" ORD shackle flip, and a 1" relocating block I fabbed.

    That's right:
    7" up front
    9" out back

The K5 sits a little higher in the back - like it should!

    Thanks Ric!
Not sure I can do much with the existing springs up front. I could remove that block above the bump stop, but if that spring inverts anymore it will likely break.

I have tried to remove the overloads on the back and it was super flexy, but started sagging. It dropped 1.5" right off the bat. The only thing I might try is opening up the clamps that hold the spring pack in line and just live with that for a while. I really don't want anything too soft since I am still driving it on the street. If it was an off-road only vehicle it would be different. I know one thing. I need bigger tires! I buried it this weekend and had to winch it out.

The bigger tire issue may be my fault /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif. I showed him a friend's Suburban on Rockies and 48" Michelins XL's. That and the "Extreme" rigs at the Truck Show made that big mutha that Daniel drives look stock /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
