Here are some pics of my project rig finally on the road. Gettting close to being able to wheel it.

Wow! It's a lil 'bigfoot (chevy version). Cool! What else do you have to do to get it wheeling?

SHweeet. How much lift do you have? And what are the rims? Width? Backspacing? I hope to have enough saved up by August to get me a set of 39.5 inch Boggers is why I'm asking.

    That's because I'm the devil.

Re: Finally it drives, pics of 39.5\'s

I still need a front driveline, think I found one at a wrecking yard that will work. Still need a spare tire, but other than that and fixing a small tranny leak it's ready to rock. The steering stabalizer helped quite a bit, but it's still a bit of a pig when you hit groovey pavement. A couple more weeks and I should have it together enough for a run to sand lake. I mounted my highlift inside, still need a tire mount and a couple of winch mounts for my multi-mount before any serious wheeling. You should see peoples faces when they see the paint, every body asks if they can touch it (the paint, get mind out of the gutter).

    Specs
    4 " suspension lift front
3" add -a leaf and 2-1/2" block rear
    3" body lift
cut fenders front and rear ( sawzall, cutt-off wheel and beer, LOL)
wheels are 9.75x16.5 cheapo mags with standard offset, I think it's 3-1/2"
    tires 39.5x15x16.5 TSL's
paint - custom by Norm ! LOL
red hurculiner outside, black inside :-)

Did you convert the 10 bolt to 8 lug yourself? If so about how much did it cost?

Re: Finally it drives, pics of 39.5\'s

I'll get some pics online next week of the interior. For my highlift I just mounted it on the side wheelwell with a piece of 1-1/2" angle and will probably come up with somthing similar for my spare tire when I get one. Nothing fancey, but it works and you don't want heavy stuff hitting you in the back of the head during a nose dive. The front axle is out of a 3/4 ton, the original axle had 3.08 gears and was 6 lug. I just kept the shafts from the original as spare parts, hopefully I can make it last until I can get a dana 60.

Re: Finally it drives, pics of 39.5\'s

I might be ready by the 23rd, If I can find a used spare :-) . That sounds like a fun trip. On the paint question, I used two gallons on the outside, and Could have used one more but that will wait until it needs a touch up. I painted the whole outside except the canopie. Inside took 1-1/4 gallons.
